Approximately 170 teachers (plus five minors), who work in 26 educational centers in hard-to-reach areas of school zones 8, 9, 10, 11 and 16 in the Ñokribo region, in the Ngäbe Buglé region, were airlifted by the Ministry of Education (Meduca), to share this week of school break with their families.
Last Saturday, a group of educators and two minors from the communities of La Trinchera, Mayo, Sulidú, Cerro Balsa and Urracá were transported by helicopter.
Meanwhile, this Sunday another group of teachers and three minors from the areas of Piedra Roja, Punta Piña, Sirote, Cerro de la Cruz and Coronte were transferred.
The educators are mobilized to an area of Rambala, in Chiriquí Grande, to –from there– be taken on Meduca buses to David, Chiriquí; Santiago, in Veraguas; the capital city and other communities of the national territory.
During the displacement, the Meduca sent the educational guides in the aircraft to be distributed in all the schools that are needed, so that the teaching-learning process reaches all students.
