A group of teachers who have been working for several years in various municipalities in the area of Catatumbo they are dissatisfied with the guidelines to be followed in the contest of the National Civil Service Commission, to occupy the places that are provisional.
“We have proposed work tables with the aim of stabilizing a staff plant in the Catatumbo area, but the Commission has indicated that they will not back down,” said Hugo Cárdenas, director of Asinort, the teachers’ union of Norte de Santander.

Likewise, the union leader said that Those who manage to pass the test would remain working on the property. There are currently 562 teachers from eight municipalities from the Catatumbo area, who expect job stability, although the previous test was lost by 86% of the teachers.
Hugo Cárdenas added that the outgoing government gave continuity to a process that has taken several yearswhere a characterization was determined that has generated criticism and strong questioning.

“Faced with this problem, we have come to protest Bogotá and express our disagreement by insisting on the postponement of the contest, because we are sure that there are no guarantees for it,” said Hugo Cárdenas, director of Asinort, the teachers’ union of Norte de Santander.
The teachers consider that it is a labor ‘massacre’ against the teachers who up to 20 years, provisionallywho they have faced threats from various armed groups such as the ELN, FARC dissidents, ‘Los Pelusos’ of the EPL, also the effects of winter that causes serious problems in the tertiary and secondary roads of the region.
Social nonconformity is recorded in the municipalities of Tibú, Sardinata, El Tarra, San Calixto, Convencion, Teorama, Hacarí and El Carmen.
