The teachers practically paralyzed the center and the busiest avenues of the city of Sucre on this first day of the national strike and blockade of the “thousand corners”in rejection of the curriculum and the request for a higher budget for education.
In addition to the strike in this sector, the Governor’s Office, led by Damián Condori, a MAS dissident, and the Chuquisaca Peasant Federation, affiliated with the wing of Evo Morales, are leading a bracelet for the destination of the economic resources of the region.

Members of the Single Federation of Workers of Original Peoples of Chuquisaca (Futpoch) have maintained since Tuesday the seizure of government facilities demanding the promulgation of the Additional Resources Law, approved by the Legislative Assembly related to the MAS and vetoed by Governor Damián Condori, they also request attention to their projects with these resources.
The vigil prevents the entry of government officials and the exit of the doorman of that institution, which denounced “kidnapping.” In the afternoon, the goalkeeper’s wife, who is suffering from cancer, had to be taken out of those facilities on a stretcher.
This Thursday afternoon the dialogue was established, but two hours after an intense debate, with speeches that had nothing to do with the problem, it broke down and the Federation of Campesinos announced that they will radicalize the pressure measures.
From the Government, the Secretary General, Santiago Arana, denounced that the mobilization of the Futpoch “acquires edgings of a political background”, beyond the claims.
“They accepted the dialogue without conditions with the presence of the secretaries and the Governor was going to sign the agreement of the parties,” said Arana, after the other party abandoned the dialogue.
