During the carnival days, the Electoral Tribunal (TE) received a total of 48 complaints for alleged violations of the electoral ban.
The complaints were filed from February 18 to 21, 2023.
According to the election regulator, the ruling party committed the most irregularities, being denounced 23 times, 22 of them by billboards.
Next is the Democratic Change Party with 13 complaints, 9 for billboards and four for promotional items. Realizando Metas had 7 complaints, 6 of them for promotional items.
The Panameñista, MOCA, Molirena parties and one for Free Postulation were also denounced.
The TE highlighted that the Molirena party is in an electoral campaign from February 10 to March 2, for the election of its board of directors on March 5, for its part Cambio Democrático has two campaign periods: from January 20 to January 16 March, for the election of their conventional, on March 19 and from February 20 to March 16, for the elections of March 19 in which they will choose the Secretariats of Women and Youth and Corregimiento Directives.
