“Considering that the responses offered by Caixa to the preliminary hearing of the diligence carried out completely ruled out the alleged irregularity regarding the non-observance of essential operational procedures or risk analysis and prior to the decision to offer the payroll loan to the beneficiaries of Auxílio Brasil, in a way that that revealed the total groundlessness of the representation, I determine the archiving of these records”, justified Cedraz in the decision.

According to the minister, the documents provided by Caixa showed that the bank complied with corporate governance rites before offering the special line of credit. Among the aspects observed, there are the analyzes on the definition of irrecoverable limits, on the costs of the operation and the pricing of interest. For Cedraz, Caixa proved the commercial and financial viability of the Auxílio Brasil consignment.

Suspension

Granted since October 11, the payroll loan of Auxílio Brasil by Caixa has been suspended since Tuesday (1st). According to the bank, the suspension will last until 7 am on the 14th occurred because of the processing of the Auxílio Brasil payroll between Caixa, Dataprev and the Ministry of Citizenship.

In the original request to the TCU, the Public Ministry of Accounts had also asked the body to judge the electoral use of the Auxílio Brasil consigned credit. However, on the 24th, Cedraz, the rapporteur of the case, dismembered this part of the action and forwarded the material to the Superior Electoral Court (TSE).
