“The Plurinational Constitutional Court admits class action in defense of Tariquía, after appealing its rejection. We have challenged to the vowels who rejected so that they change our room, for having issued negative criteria in the final order ”, published this Monday, on her Twitter account, the deputy of the Citizen Community Mariela Baldivieso.
The parliamentarian pointed out to the Tarija media that the TCP sent the popular action to the same room where they had previously ruled as “inadmissible.”
“How is it possible that they direct us to a room, that we know that the answer will be negative? In this way, we have a challenge against these members so that they can settle this demand and we can continue in an impartial courtroom.”
The deputy is part of a social movement that defends the nature reserve. “We want to recover our reserve (of Tariquía), which is already taken today,” she explains.
For his part, Deputy Adrián Vega expressed his concern about “the manipulation of justice in this case”. He shows his concern for the definition of justice that refers the cause to the same room that had previously rejected the class action. Like Baldivieso, he announced the recusal “so that other people can issue an opinion.”
“(It is) making fun of what is being done around the protection of the natural reserve of flora and fauna of Tariquía,” said the deputy.
These deputies, together with other parliamentarians, activists and representatives of the Indigenous Parliament of the original peoples of the lowlands seek to paralyze oil exploration in the Tariquía reserve. They presented two popular actions, but both were rejected.
