The Attorney General’s Office issued a statement to the public this Saturday in which it revealed one of the tests carried out on the body of Taylor Hawkins, drummer of the American rock band ‘Foo Fighters’, found dead in a hotel in Bogotá on the night of Friday March 24.
According to the statement issued by the accusing body, it is confirmed that the 50-year-old artist ingested some hallucinogenic substances.
For this reason, the hypothesis that the musician died as a result of an overdose gains strength.
Once the forensic study of the body of Taylor Hawkins has been carried out, it is concluded that:
- “In the urine toxicological test performed on the body of Taylor Hawkins, 10 types of substances were preliminarily found, including THC (Marijuana, tricyclic antidepressants, benzodiasepines and opioids,” says the report from the Prosecutor’s Office issued this Saturday.
The accusing entity indicates that it will continue the investigations to determine the causes that determine this fatal outcome for the drummer who would appear on Friday night at the Estéreo Picnic Festival in Bogotá.
“The National Institute of Forensic Medicine continues medical studies to achieve full clarification of the events that led to the death of Taylor Hawkins,” adds the statement from the prosecuting body.
“The Prosecutor’s Office will continue with the investigation and will report the results in the same timely manner,” the bulletin concludes.
