Tax stimulus for Premium gasoline is withdrawn, for the first time since May 2021

The Special Tax on Production and Services (IEPS) that the consumer must pay for the consumption of each liter of Premium gasoline will be 4.63 pesos, as of Saturday, December 3. It is the first time that the Premium stimulus has been completely withdrawn since May 2021.

For their part, Magna gasoline and Diesel will continue to receive fiscal stimuli next week.

For Magna, the Treasury determined to continue granting a stimulus equivalent to 31.84% of the IEPS, for this reason, the consumer will pay an IEPS of 3.7429 pesos per liter of this gasoline.

Diesel will continue to receive a fiscal stimulus of 76.48% of the IEPS, the lowest level since the last week of January 2022. That is, the tax to be paid next week will be 1.4196 pesos for each liter of diesel.

In addition, there is no complementary fiscal stimulus for any of these fuels, as had been implemented after the rise in fuel prices at the beginning of the year due to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
