The Minister of Institutional Relations, Alexandre Padilha, said this Wednesday (31) that one of the federal government’s priorities is to end the year 2024 with the regulation of the tax reform approved by the National Congress. “By the end of the year, we want to conclude the vote on this regulation,” he said.
In an interview with radio stations during the Good Morning, Minister programproduced by Brazilian Communications Company (EBC)Padilha recalled that the regulation, among other issues, provides for the simplification of taxes and, consequently, the generation of more jobs. “We are transforming five taxes into one, making life easier for the entrepreneur”.
“This is the absolute priority. It still needs to be voted on in the Senate. It will probably go back to the Chamber of Deputies as well, because one of the bills is still in the Chamber. We will monitor this. Our priority is to end the year with this regulation approved. And I am very confident that the National Congress, the presidents of both houses, both President Arthur Lira and President Rodrigo Pacheco, the leaders, want to conclude the vote this year.”
