“This figure fully meets the budget set out in the Federal Revenue Law (LIF) for August 2024,” the SAT said in a statement on Monday.
The agency detailed that 931,998 million pesos (mdd) were collected from the Value Added Tax (VAT), which meant a real growth of 6.3% in the reference period. The Special Tax on Production and Services (IEPS) recorded a collection of 424,888 mdp, that is, 139,952 mdp more.
Income tax amounted to 1.833 billion pesos, which was 87,417 million pesos more than the first eight months of last year.
The SAT added that the amounts are the result of the implementation of the Master Plan for Tax Inspection and Collection, which has allowed for a level playing field in the collection of taxes without the need to create new ones or increase existing ones.
