Tarma: They give him preventive detention for stealing a cell phone from an 11-year-old boy

Judge Edgardo Diestra Vivar, ordered nine months of pretrial detention against a subject identified as Cristian Velásquez Ponce, 33, for having snatched, together with two other accomplices, the cell phone of an eleven-year-old boy who was leaving an internet booth, in the city fence.

The magistrate considered all the aggravating circumstances against the defendant who was placed in preventive confinement, while the main process for aggravated theft against the minor is taking place. The event occurred a few weeks ago, when the victim was with his sister.

To seize the property of others, the subject, accompanied by two other accomplices, used brute force. As a result of the looting, the minor fell to the ground, which was used by the thieves to steal his equipment.

The authors believed that they had committed their crime with complete impunity, however they did not count on the revealing presence of some witnesses, which would lead them to face serious charges before the authorities.

Cercados, two of the three suspects, were arrested and placed at the mercy of the judge. One of the detainees is 17 years old. He was taken to a juvenile reformatory. Meanwhile, the fate of Cristian Velásquez is between the cold bars of the Las Makarenas de Tarma prison.
