Preparatory Investigation Judge Edgardo Diestra gave details about the case of the former mayor of Huaricolca Víctor López Córdova (67) regarding the alleged commission of sexual rape against a minor. The suspect remains detained in the Tarma prison for a period of seven months, as a preventive measure, for allegedly abusing his 12-year-old neighbor on December 9, at the defendant’s home.
However, his lawyer filed an appeal requesting house arrest since his client suffers from a terminal illness.
Regarding the case, the judge said that according to the Penal Code, a life sentence would await him.
What happened?
On December 9, the minor, in the afternoon, went to the store owned by the investigated person to buy buttons; However, the accused would have pulled her by her sweater into his kitchen, to give free rein to his base instincts.
In exchange, the accused gave him money and a chancaca so that he would not say anything to his parents.
However, the former authority did not expect that the minor would end up confessing what he did to her, since her mother pressured her to tell her who had given her the chancaca since the girl did not have the money to buy it.
