Tarma: Crash in Acobamba leaves one dead and two seriously injured

A fatal traffic accident occurred this Monday morning in the Matará sector, Acobamba district, Tarma province, leaving one person dead and two seriously injured. The head-on collision occurred around 6:15 am on the Central Highway, in circumstances that are still a matter of investigation.

A truck from the Elcime consortium and a private car were involved in the accident. As a result of the strong impact, the co-pilot of the smaller vehicle, identified as Franklin Romero Puente, lost his life instantly, while the drivers of both units were injured and one of them was trapped between the twisted iron.

Serenazgo agents and emergency personnel went to the scene to help those affected and transfer them to a health center.
