Tarija Prosecutor’s Office will reveal this Monday progress of the investigation in a case that compromises Evo Morales

In the midst of the alleged attack on Evo Morales, The Departmental Prosecutor’s Office of Tarija plans to reveal the investigations in the case of human trafficking, in which the former president is involved.

The departmental prosecutor of Tarija, Sandra Gutiérrez, He promised to provide details once the reservation deadline expired last Friday.

“We cannot give further details, the reservation ends on Friday and on Monday we are going to give absolutely all the progress of this case, without violating any rights,” Gutiérrez declared verbatim to a question from EL DEBER in a previous interview prior to its ratification in the position by the State Attorney General, Roger Mariaca.

Morales, 65, is being investigated for getting involved with a 15-year-old minor in Yacuiba in 2015 and a year later he had a daughter who is currently 8 years old.

The alleged victim of the former president, who is now 25 years old, has declared himself in hiding, according to his defense lawyer, along with his mother who also did not appear to give her informative statement.

The president of the Yacuiba Civic Committee, Henry Medrano, said that it is up to Evo Morales to be tried without privileges in strict application of the laws in force in Bolivia.

However, he considered that the true results of this case will be had when the MAS is no longer in government.

The CC deputy, José Luis Porcel, stated that he hopes that the Departmental Prosecutor’s Office issues the arrest warrant against Evo Morales for not appearing at the hearing mentioned above, in compliance with the Law.

“Information should not be restricted and even more so if this case is causing so much harm to the general population,” said the legislator.
