The Republican candidate for the government of the state of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas, said today (7) that he will encourage the inclusion, through sport, of people with disabilities in public schools. He visited the Brazilian Paralympic Training Center and got to know the work carried out by the Brazilian Paralympic Committee.
“It is necessary to promote a partnership with the Department of Education [de São Paulo] so that we can carry out the continuous training of teachers from the public network to insert education through sport in the school”, he said.
Tarcísio also said that he intends to expand the sport reference centers for people with disabilities in the interior of the state, as well as increase the funds of the scholarship program for the Paralympic athlete, of high performance and performance. “The athlete needs support to train with tranquility and continue representing Brazil so well”, he highlighted.
Accessibility
The candidate also spoke about the need to improve accessibility in public buildings and, especially, in transport terminals. “And to give incentives to companies to be able to hire people with disabilities”, he pointed out.
Tarcísio’s schedule today included, in addition to a visit to the Brazilian Paralympic Training Center, in Vila Guarani, in São Paulo, his participation in Jovem Pan’s Pânico program.
