“Tapabocas 37” campaign to assist women victims of violence

The Ministry of Women launched the “Tapabocas 37” campaign, with which assistance protocols are activated for women victims of violence from premises of the Punto Farma chain.

In the company’s branches, assistance can be requested through the keyword “Tapabocas 37”, which will alert the relevant authorities and activate the assistance protocol.

The relaunch of the campaign joins the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), as an ally of the Ministry and the company.

The objective is that the action protocols act throughout the country, considering that some 480 Punto Farma stores have instructions on how to act in the event of receiving a complaint of violence against women.

The initial campaign was presented in June of last year and to date 60 women have been assisted through the key “Tapabocas 37”, said Minister Celina Lezcano. That is why the motto of the initiative is «Words that save lives».

The objective is to strengthen assistance to women in a situation of danger and involve the pertinent institutions for a rapid action of protection and accompaniment.
