Tanker truck catches fire in western Cuba

A tanker truck of the state company CUPET had an accident and caught fire this Sunday morning in western Cuba, according to the entity itself cited by official media.

In an interview broadcast on the midday television news, the governor of Matanzas, Mario Sabines Lorenzo, stressed that this accident was not related to the incident that is still active in the Matanzas industrial zone, in which specialized forces from the country are still working with international support.

Also on social media it’s been said that the event occurred when a tire burst on the truck, which overturned as a result, but this has not been officially confirmed.
