Ownership, driver’s licenses and more
In the Ownership Tax, vehicle owners will be able to have a 100% discount as long as the value of their updated vehicle is a maximum of 250,000 pesos and they will be able to access this benefit from January 1 to March 31 of 2025.
To do this, certain requirements must be met:
- Have no debts on holdings from previous years.
- First cover the endorsement or vehicle control rights.
- Have a valid Circulation Card.
This benefit applies to individuals, as well as civil associations, labor unions, employers’ associations, chambers of commerce, among others.
Driver’s licenses
- Type “A”, to drive private vehicles: 1,099 pesos
- Type “A1”, to drive motorcycles: 550 pesos
- Type “A2”, for driving private vehicles and motorcycles: 1,099
During 2025, the Permanent Driver’s License process will continue to be available, with a cost of 1,500 pesos, only applicable to those who drive a private vehicle, not motorcycles.

- Plate endorsement: 731 pesos
- Plate registration: 935 pesos
- Permit to circulate without license plates, registration card or sticker for up to 30 days: 286 pesos
- Replacement or endorsement of circulation card: 417 pesos
Areas with water testing
In homes that receive water by batch in accordance with the Mexico City Water System (Sacmex), a fixed fee of 4,727.61 pesos will be applied, to which a subsidy will be applied according to the classification of the block where the water is located. housing, which will pay from 141.80 pesos if it is located in a popular area to 974.34 pesos if it is a high area.
