In November we will have a megabridge that begins on the last day of October because the weekend will be the commemoration for the Day of the Dead. Friday the 31st is Halloween, a holiday that is celebrated on the eve of the Western Christian commemoration of All Saints, originally from the United Kingdom, but which is replicated in the United States and has even gained a lot of popularity in Mexico.
Meanwhile, Saturday, November 1 is the All Hallows and Sunday the 2nd corresponds to Faithful Departed; Both dates are important commemorations in the country, but the Federal Labor Law (LFT) does not have them classified as days of mandatory rest.
When will the megabridge be?
According to what the school calendar shows by the Ministry of Public Education (SEP), Friday, October 31 is school day. School Technical Council (CTE) an activity that only corresponds to the director and all the teaching staff of each campus.
In the meetings of the Technical Council, decisions are made to improve educational quality, among other issues related to the school and students. From there, plans and strategies are designed with the aim of promoting learning.
The CTE takes place on the last Friday of each month and basic education students (preschool, primary and secondary) do not attend classrooms, so they will enjoy the mega bridge: Your rest will begin from Friday, October 31 2025 and will conclude on Sunday, November 2, to return to classes on Monday, November 3.
Aren’t you a basic education student?
For workers in the regular formal sector, it is not a mandatory holiday as established by the LFT; Both Saturday 1st, Sunday 2nd and Monday 3rd November will be normal working days, unless your company decides another type of break.
But if you work on November 2, remember that you must be paid the Sunday bonus, which is indicated in article 71 of the Federal Labor Law.
