The teachers Those selected will be able to earn salaries ranging from $41,000 to $55,000 per year, which represents an attractive salary offer similar to that of an American educator. These amounts vary depending on experience, academic degree, and the assigned school district. In addition to the salary, participants will receive benefits such as medical coverage, airfare, and support in the visa process. They will also have the option of bringing their spouse and children, which makes this an even more attractive opportunity.
Since 1987, Participate Learning has provided teachers Latin Americans the opportunity to teach in public schools in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. In total, more than 300 Chilean teachers have shared their knowledge and culture in the United States thanks to this program, and 250 of them have already returned to Chile, enriched by the experience.
To apply, you must meet certain requirements, such as an advanced level of English, at least two years of experience teaching full-time after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in education, and the willingness to reside in USA for a minimum period of two years and a maximum of five. Certification in English is not required, as the language level is assessed during interviews.
