First Brazilian to debut at the European Smash 2025 Table Tennis in Malmo (Sweden), Paulista Bruna Takahashi won the Australian Constantina Pshogios on a turn, for 3 sets to 1 (10/12, 11/1, 11/4 and 11/60. In the next round, Bruna will face the winner of the confrontation between Romanian Elisabeta Samara (32) and Japanese Harimoto Miwa (6th), who play on Tuesday (19). The competition in Malmo goes until next Sunday (24).
Number 19 of the world, the 25 -year -old Paulista was surprised at the beginning of the match against Australian (60th in the ranking), only 16 years forced her. Bruna opened a 5-3 advantage in the first game, but Constantina turned the scoring 8-5. Bruna recovered and led 10-8, however the Australian resumed the game’s mastery and closed the set 12-10.

Calderano debuts this Monday (18)
Number 3 of the world and newly champion in the WTT Contender of Forz do Iguaçu (Paraná), the carioca Hugo Calderano disputes the first round against Paulista Vitor Ishiy (53rd in the ranking) at 2:45 pm (Brasília) this Monday (18). Those who win will face the winner of the japanese Yuta Tanaka (34th) and Chinese Wen Ruibo (35th).
Calderano will also compete with the mixed pair key alongside Bruna Takahashi. In July, they earned the first title together at WTT Contender of Buenos Aires (Argentina).
