Now is the time to get vaccinated, before respiratory virus cases begin to increase exponentially, reports from Health Surveillance.
Dr. Guillermo Sequera, General Director of Health Surveillance, warned that in the country there is a rise of respiratory virus activity.
“We are seeing increase in consultations in all ages, mainly in the adult range and in young children”reported, referring mainly to influenza viruses A and B, and SARS-CoV2 cause of COVID-19 disease.
He pointed out that up to now there is a progressive increase in the diagnosis of cases and hospitalizations due to respiratory symptoms.
Considering the epidemiological panorama and the entry of the cold season, the doctor urges vaccination in time to curb the impact that can cause respiratory diseases, especially in the vulnerable population.
