The police intervention on the alleged offender was carried out by agents of the Terna Group, after Martha MR was assaulted on a street in Cercado and tracked her cell phone using the GPS application.

According to the PNP, in June 2017 Miguel Chura Caracholi was intervened for taking a cell phone from the passenger of a motorcycle taxi in the vicinity of the Juan Velasco Alvarado square in the Alto de la Alianza district; while Chura Caracholi at the end of December 2018 was apprehended with Fanny NZ in the Gregorio Albarracín district, accused of being part of a gang dedicated to stealing cell phones with firearms. On the last occasion, the man was found with a replica of a Pietro Beretta pistol hidden in the back of his waist.
