The peaceful protest carried out today Thursday by different unions that mobilized from the districts of Tacna towards the Paseo Cívico was marred by acts of vandalism carried out by groups of young people in different sectors. On Bolognesi avenue, protesters attacked a taxi driver for the simple fact of working during the strike. At 7 a.m., when everything indicated that it would be a peaceful strike, as the National Confederation of Peruvian Workers (CGTP) had announced, mobs that wanted to take advantage of the situation began to burn tires in the Tarapacá oval, outside the shopping center Polvos Rosados, on the corner of Patricio Meléndez and Industrial avenues, on Jorge Basadre avenue and on the access roads to the Gregorio Albarracín district.
