Police from the Leguía Town Police Station arrested Jaime Ernesto Flores Choqueña (34) alias “Gordo” and Yerson Leo Cortéz Pacohuanaco “Cachaco” for the alleged crime against property, aggravated theft today at 2:30 in the morning.

Crew members of patrol car PL-16126 were carrying out their rounds along the coastal avenue when they were alerted by citizen AEAL (30) that gas cylinders had been stolen from his farm, accusing a white station wagon with two occupants.

The police officers spotted the vehicle with license plate A2N-587 Nissan AD with packages in the back. The men in the Nissan ignored the signal to stop so a chase began to the Nuevo Amanecer association in the former Chololo Estate.

The gas cylinders were found in the vehicle. Shears, pliers, scissors, a crowbar and a black replica of a firearm were also found.
