Tacna: Twelve bishops and 70 priests will participate in the closing of the Marian jubilee

Starting this Friday, October 4, the celebratory events will begin for the closing of the Marian Jubilee Year for the 300 years of the sacred image of Our Lady of the Rosary, patron saint of the Diocese of Tacna and Moquegua.

Bishop Marco Cortéz Lara reported that at 6 p.m. in the Cathedral of Tacna the solemn thanksgiving vigil will be held in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary. For Saturday, October 5, the solemn Eucharistic celebration has been scheduled at 10 a.m. in the Cathedral in which the offering of the golden rose from His Holiness Pope Francis will be received.

They will declare her a sworn employer

The Monsignor confirmed that 12 bishops, 70 priests and many nuns will participate in these celebrations. In addition, there has been dialogue with the governors of Tacna and Moquegua, as well as with the mayor of Tacna, so that after the mass they grant the highest decoration to an expression of faith, such as declaring her sworn patron saint of the city of Tacna.
