A tragedy occurred in the district of Ilabaya, province of Jorge Basadre, Tacna, when a resident identified as José Eusebio Gómez Carrión lost his life after suffering an accident on his motorcycle with his family.
The resident was traveling in the minor vehicle with license plate 6470GG, with his wife and daughter, when in the Oconchay sector, for reasons that are still the subject of investigation, he lost control of the unit, suffering a violent impact against the slopes of the highway that connects Oconchay and Ilabaya.
Wife and daughter survive
As a result of the strong impact, José Gómez Carrión suffered severe blows. He was helped by night watchmen from the Ilabaya District Municipality and transferred to the Mirave Health Center, but he lost his life. His wife Virginia Gutiérrez Sosa (38) and his 5-year-old daughter were evacuated to the same health center and then referred to the Hipólito Unanue hospital in Tacna to be treated for their injuries.
The provincial prosecutor on duty, Jorge Basadre, went to the area to remove the body and begin the investigation proceedings with the recovery of the motorcycle.
