The Comptroller General of the Republic visited the work to improve the educational service at the initial, primary and secondary levels of the Guillermo Auza Arce educational institution, within the framework of the new preventive control modality.
The regional control manager Alejandra Guzmán Hidalgo explained that support is being provided to the Regional Government of Tacna to prevent circumstances from occurring again that paralyze the work or prevent the deadlines from being met.
Gear advance at 70%
He explained that the work has a physical progress of 70% and is expected to be completed in August of next year, although the Regional Government is making efforts to complete it sooner.
Regarding the reports from the Comptroller’s Office that warned of a delay in the purchase of inputs, he responded that the GRT is committed to coordinating the timing of the acquisition of inputs to reduce the risk of a shortage occurring.
Budget of S/ 21 million
He recalled that the balance of work has a budget of 21 million soles and an execution period of 330 calendar days. The work was paralyzed in September 2024 after the Ttacna Educational Consortium faced financial problems due to a debt owed to Sunat.
For his part, the GRT infrastructure manager Eduardo Sánchez assured that the work will be completed in April 2026 to be delivered as soon as possible to the population of the sector.
Corrections to the file
Regarding observations made by the president of Apafa César Salazar regarding the work carried out by the previous contractor, Sánchez pointed out that these are aspects that are not contemplated in the technical file and that are being corrected as the work is carried out.
He reaffirmed the commitment that the initial area will be ready by December as well as the primary area. He assured that with the interaction of the different areas of the GRT, work is being done so that the work does not have any more setbacks.
