A gang of criminals made a move in the Calana district in Tacna. They robbed in broad daylight at the El Portal hostel located on Vilauta Avenue Sub lot G without number on the road that leads to the Parque del memoria cemetery, after breaking into doors when the owner of the property was absent.
The criminal act was reported to the PNP by Adelaida MC (48), indicating that during the morning she had left the establishment and upon returning she realized that the main entrance door had been broken into and the rooms and other rooms had been searched.
They carried televisions
The victim reported the theft of seven 40-inch televisions that were in the bedrooms; They also searched the rooms that were part of his home and stole cash for S/ 6,000 and a thousand dollars, and gold jewelry worth S/ 5,000.
The property where the hostel and home operates had a video surveillance camera, but said security system was manipulated and stolen by the criminals, which would show that the criminal gang did it so that its members would not be identified.
Police without patrol car
According to the victim, at 7:30 a.m. she left the property and when she returned two hours later the incident was already complete; He notified the PNP and the personnel from the police station of that rural district took a while to arrive at the scene, since the police told him that they did not have a patrol car and they did so in a security van.
After 11 a.m., experts from the Criminalistics Office (Oficiri) and agents from the Depincri Robbery section came to the El Portal hostel for the proceedings, with the knowledge of prosecutor Wilbert Chávez Torres. Calana is a large rural sector and the police in the sector need motorized vehicles to carry out preventive patrols.
