Residents of the 8 de Julio Association of the Gregorio Albarracín district in Tacna tried to do justice with their hands after detecting alleged members of a gang of “house robbers” who fled and left a vehicle abandoned.

In the vicinity of Cerro Arunta and the final whereabouts of the buses on route 202, a mob of 150 excited people, including men and women, caused destruction and overturned the silver Nissan Tiida car with the original license plate AMW-174 and which had a sheet of cardboard with bearing plate characteristics number D8B-215.

Depincri Intelligence police spotted at noon the vehicle that would have participated in a home robbery and was abandoned in front of the building marked with block F, lot 18. According to the investigations, residents who made up the mob surrounded the Intelligence police officers in civilian clothes and those they accused of participating in criminal acts in the area. They then tore apart and flipped the unit over with its wheels facing up.

The AMW-174 car was found empty, without valuables that the neighbors indicated had been stolen from a house. At the scene, two policemen were attacked, these being SO2 PNP Christian Lupaca Arias and SO1 PNP Hernán Tomayconza Quispe, the latter suffered a broken head and was evacuated to the Isabel Clinic on Arica street.
Finally, at night, it was possible to dissuade the residents from acts of violence. According to Sunarp, it was learned that the Nissan AMW-174 belongs to Christian Gonzáles Torres.
