With whistles, horns and posters, the protesters demanded the resignation of the President of the Republic Dina Boluarte Zegarra, the closure of Congress and a new Constitution. When asked about their intentions by the police chief in the sector, the farmers announced that they plan to block the highway for two hours.

At another point, on the Costanera Sur highway, the protesters placed logs to try to block the busy road, but these were removed by the Police once the group of people moved to the border sector between Peru and Chile.
