The Association of Owners and Drivers of the Grau Shopping Center publicly denounced yesterday that the provincial mayor of Tacna, Pascual Güisa Bravo, is politically manipulating the parade that the Provincial Municipality of Tacna will hold tomorrow at the Civic Center.

Its president, Alex Quinto Cerrón, explained that the municipality has arranged for the mayor to have the Association of Merchants of the Chololo Estate parade in first place and for the owners and drivers to do so later, in ninth place.

He explained that the board of owners and drivers brings together more than 1,640 members, who are registered in Public Records and have been working in the Grau market since its foundation.

“Once again, Mayor Pascual Güisa is committing a direction and favoritism by placing this so-called Association of the Chololo Estate, we are the owners, they sell in some areas of the market, he does it to pay political favors”the leader stressed.

He accused these merchants of being a “portable” group headed by Mrs. Teresa Quispe who supported the mayor at the inauguration of Zarumilla Avenue. “We don’t know if the mayor is falling for their game or if they are playing the wall, but the disorder they are causing is very bad,” the president complained.
The Association of Merchants of Fundo Chololo was recently formed by people who sell in some areas without premises within the Grau market and others completely unrelated, who seek to obtain a sales position in the wholesale market that the provincial municipality of Tacna will build in the lower part of the city.
