The promoter of the vacancy of the mayor of Alto de la Alianza Demetrio Cutipa Vilca, Faustin Ochoa Alave, reported that he is the victim of death threats both to him and his family, for which he has requested personal guarantees from the District Subprefecture of Tacna.

Yesterday afternoon, the request for granting personal guarantees regulated by Supreme Decree 003-2021-Interior was received at the reception desk.
Against mayor and manager
The petition filed by Faustino Ochoa is directed against the mayor Demetrio Cutipa Vilca as well as the municipal manager of Alto de la Alianza Lorennha Silva Cifuentes.
He said that he received an A4 bond paper on which the text had been printed: “Eoe recon… we are going to kill you and your family if you continue reporting or continue with the vacancy, tell your friend JY that he is not coming after this Monday, that we are going to kill him and his family for causing the vacancy.”
Meeting on August 26th
The Tacna District Subprefecture, in accordance with procedure, has summoned the applicant Faustin Ochoa, as well as the persons Cutipa Vilca and Silva Cifuentes, to its premises on Arica Street S/N on Monday, August 26 at 9 a.m. in order for the parties to reach an agreement.

If after said meeting neither of the parties appears, the political authority will conclude the hearing and draw up a record granting a period of three working days from the notification to present their defenses or arguments regarding the request.
Session for the vacancy
Faustin Ochoa not only filed the petition for the vacancy of the mayor of Alto Alianza, but also a criminal complaint for the same reason, the alleged irregular hiring of the municipal manager Silva Cifuentes. This official is accused of occupying the position without meeting the profile and at the same time being in charge of the sub-management of human resources, which would be irregular according to Ochoa.
The president of the Alto de la Alianza Council, Demetrio Cutipa, has scheduled the extraordinary session for this Monday at 6 a.m. where the request for vacancy will be debated.
