A hell broke out on Tuesday morning in a narrow passage behind the Belén Shopping Center, near the corner of Patricio Meléndez and Industrial Avenues of Tacna, when a fire razed all merchandise and belongings of a three -story building.
At approximately 10 h neighbors and passersby alerted the presence of smoke and llamas on the terrace of a large property in whose first floor is the premises for sale of spare parts and bicycle accessories “Rossy Bike”.

Support from other companies
Up to the place came units of the Fire Company No. 24 whose agents supported by the merchants entered to fight the fire. Quickly the flames were growing and the water was over, so they requested the support of other units as well as mayor cisterns.
At 10:33, explosions were registered, realizing that the fire had spread to the third, second and first floor. From the exteriors you could see firefighters as well as other people who were in the upper part trying to fight the flames.

The merchants of the Belén Shopping Center showed their concern that the fire spreads to their positions so some began to close and others to withdraw their merchandise.

Family affected by fire
The young Melanie Rossi Perca Condori arrived at the place, who pointed out that the building belonged to her parents who had an accessories and bicycle spare parts.
He explained that on the third floor the environments functioned as a warehouse to store merchandise. The second was used as housing while on the first floor was the commercial premises “Rossi Bike”. He said it was a hard blow for his father Edgar Perca, who had managed to lift his business based on years of work. Fortunately, no injuries were recorded.

Losses are incalculable
He said that he could not calculate the losses and that he had stayed practically on the street since his Medicine Student of the Jorge Basadre University as well as his study materials, passages and savings were inside. He added that his father had just returned a few days ago to buy more merchandise.
