The organized people of Táchira support the Amnesty Law as a meeting space, as evidenced this weekend during various days of mobilization and faith held in the municipalities of the North, South, Montaña Alta and the metropolitan area, where they demanded the release of President Nicolás Maduro and the first combatant, Cilia Flores.
From the Guásimos municipality, Ángel Márquez, coordinator of Religious Affairs of the Psuv Táchira, led a display of prayers and a homily in Palmira. Márquez, appointed by Governor Freddy Bernal for this task, highlighted that the work together with Mayor Zoraida Parra seeks to respond to the “positive return of the president with life and health.”
»We are a country that wants peace. “The organized people support the amnesty law as a meeting space,” stated Márquez.

For his part, the president of the Guásimos Municipal Council, Caleb Bautista, highlighted the support of the 5 communes and 45 Clap that make up the UBCH. In the Virgin of Lourdes Chapel, Rosa Pérez, spokesperson for the UBCH El Abejal, described the moment as an “energy of power” to stop the kidnapping of the presidential couple.
