

The Legislative Council of the state of Táchira (CLET) has launched a process of supervision in educational institutionsboth public and private, of the entity to address and prevent the bullying and the risks associated with dangerous viral challenges on social networks.
The initiative comes from the CLET Children’s and Adolescents’ Responsibility Commission, in response to the increase in incidents of school violence that have “filled some homes with sadness,” as indicated. Cherman Reyesvice president of the State Legislative Council of Táchira.
Prevention and co-responsibility campaign
Reyes announced that, hand in hand with the institutions of the Child and Adolescent Protection System, a prevention campaign directly in the educational units. This effort seeks to mitigate the impact of viral challenges that, intensified globally in recent months, are often carried out by children and adolescents with little supervision over the use of their equipment.
The legislator emphasized the principle of co-responsibility that falls on the institutions and teachers. Although some schools with ample resources have hired psychologists in their staff (even when the law does not require it), Reyes recalled that the psychological support service is also available through State institutions.
“Schools or public and private institutions have the duty, the principle of co-responsibility that we have there as teachers, they have the power when they observe the behavior of a child that is not normal, they draw up their respective minutes and recommend consultation with a psychologist,” Reyes said.
Furthermore, the vice president of the CLET reminded the population of the existence of the Educational Public Defense as an additional resource to guarantee the protection of the rights of students in the region.
