Symposium at the Franz Tamayo University defends education on Children’s Day as a superior interest

The Franz Tamayo University (Unifranz), within its academic activities, carried out a symposium with the participation of trained professionals in human rights on the occasion of the celebration of Children’s Day this April 12.

In the classrooms of Unifranz, it was done a legal and philosophical analysis of the rights of the child. For example, the right to education and the right that parents have to choose the education they consider appropriate for their children as established in the Political Constitution of the State Art. 88 CPE.

The symposium took place with the presence of Dr. Clarivel Ayala Perrogón, author of several books and lawyer specializing in Gender Violence and the Rights of Children and Adolescents; and Lic. Marbel Flores de Nanetti, specialist in International Relations and family couch. The slogan revolved around everyone’s duty to protect and work for the rights of children.

Among the important issues addressed were that respect the rights of mothers and fathers to choose the most suitable education for their children. Likewise, emphasis was placed on what is established in the Child and Adolescent Code (Law 548), and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The specialists considered that should not be a state imposition the application of the new curricular mesh, which they consider to endanger children when it is intended to teach them to discover their bodies, in addition to introducing images and information into the texts that are not suitable for children.
