This Monday the Symposium 50 years of the Caribbean community (Caricom) in the Yellow House, headquarters of the Chancellery, in Caracas, with the objective of specifying the role of the region in the integration of the peoples, as part of the programming for the anniversary week of the bloc.
It should be remembered that Caricom week will be held in the city of Caracas from this Monday, June 26, to Friday, June 30.
During the speech at the beginning of the event, the Vice Foreign Minister for the Caribbean, Raúl LiCausi, welcomed those present and praised the participation of representatives of Caricom and the national government.
“I welcome you to the Caricom Symposium, which we have called past, present and future in the framework of the 50th anniversary of Caricom. We have planned a series of diplomatic, political, cultural, academic events, a diplomatic reception, a floral offering to the Liberator, all with the idea of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Chaguaramas,” he said.
