Symphonic band suffers assault in Huánuco: They threw stones at the vehicle and left one injured

The assaults on the roads continue, this time the bus of the Niño Jesús International Symphonic Band of the Calero Brothers, was the target of a group of armed criminals who intercepted them when the vehicle was traveling through the Pillco Marca district, in Huánuco.

The incident occurred around 2:00 am, the armed assailants stopped the car, and beat the musicians, leaving the tuba player seriously injured. “Despite the efforts to defend ourselves, the criminals also used stones, causing damage to the windows of the bus that transported our group,” the band said in a statement.

The injured musician was rushed to the Hermilio Valdizán Regional Hospital. They also called on the authorities and population to have greater patrols on the highway, especially at dawn. “It is alarming that these criminal acts are committed with total impunity, endangering the lives of all Huanuqueños,” they mentioned.
