Switzerland win over Cameroon 1-0

With Breel Embolo’s score, the Swiss team defeated Cameroon 1-0 in a match held in a semi-empty Al Janoub stadium corresponding to Group G where both teams gave a good show.

Despite the fact that there were no scores in the first half, both the Swiss and the Cameroonians had good options, but both the defenders and the goalkeepers of both teams were able to resolve dangerous situations so that they went to rest with the tie.

The game changed in the second half with the score of Breel Embolo, who by chance was born in Cameroon and nationalized Swiss, the Cameroonian center-backs arrived late to try to cut off Shaquiri’s cross so that Embolo would be left alone in front of goalkeeper Onana and score the Swiss goal at minute 48.

With the advantage, Switzerland began to manage the game better, taking advantage of Cameroon’s desperation to seek an equalizer, on two occasions the Swiss caught the Cameroonian defense badly and were very close to scoring the second, in the final minutes of the game Switzerland’s dominance It was evident but they couldn’t reflect it with more notes on the scoreboard.

In their next match Cameroon will have to face Serbia, while Switzerland will clash against Brazil, both matches are scheduled for next Monday, November 28.
