The launch of the Bolivian Chamber of Industry, Commerce, Tourism and Finance (Swisscham-Bolivia) is an impulse for commercial relations between the two countries. In the official act both authorities of the Switzerland embassy participated in Bolivia and representatives of Swiss and Bolivian companies that make up the aforementioned Chamber.
The official presentation was made in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, recognized as the country’s economic engine.
The Swisscham- Bolivia will strengthen economic ties between Switzerland and Bolivia, marking a significant step on the eve of the celebration of 80 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries, ephemeris that will be remembered next year. Swisscham’s work is essential to facilitate the creation of networks between Swiss and Bolivian companies, promoting investments, business opportunities and contributing to bilateral economic development.
With the creation of Swisscham, new possibilities are opened to deepen the economic relationship between the two countries. With the free trade agreement between Switzerland (EFTA) and MERCOSUR, signed on September 16, 2025, Bolivia may also have the possibility of being part of this process.

Switzerland promotes an international trade system based on clear rules, transparency and legal certainty, in order to guarantee sustainable growth, equitable conditions and shared benefits.
