Swiss bank chooses Uruguay as its headquarters in Latin America

The company’s definition of establishing a headquarters in Latin America responds to the growing demand of its clients, as well as Bank Syz’s strategic desire to develop its presence in the region.

“Latin America is an area of ​​historical importance for our group and we want to be closer to our clients, both in relationship and geographically. Serving private and professional clients in the region for more than two decades has led Bank Syz to increase its commitment to this prosperous market,” said Nicolas Syz, director of Private Banking at Bank Syz in a statement released by the company upon arrival in Uruguay.

At the end of 2021, the group had assets under management of 27,600 million Swiss francs (almost US$ 30,000 million)..

It provides independent asset managers with custody and investment services tailored to the needs of their clients; it offers investors the opportunity to invest in alternatives that are difficult to access, such as private markets; and also manages assets of Swiss institutional investors in bonds and money market instruments.
