Suspension of radiology services affects more than 3,000 patients in several hospitals in the country

The Ministry of Health has announced the suspension of radiology services in various hospitals and health centers due to a unilateral decision by the company Representaciones, Servicios y Mantenimiento (RESERMA).

This interruption is impacting more than 3,000 patients and compromises care in the following medical centers: Hospital Santo Tomás, National Oncological Institute, Hospital Luis “Chicho” Fábrega, Hospital San Miguel Arcángel, Hospital Cecilio Castillero and Hospital Nicolás A. Solano.

The suspension of these services has generated serious complications, affecting study reports, scheduled procedures, emergencies and transfers. This situation puts essential diagnoses and treatments for the health of patients at risk.

In response to this crisis, the Ministry of Health is working to restore radiology services as soon as possible. Likewise, the pertinent actions against the company RESERMA are being evaluated. The authorities will continue to report on progress in resolving this problem.
