“The atmospheric environmental contingency due to ozone and its measures are suspended as of 5:00 p.m. today. The foregoing, because the hourly ozone concentrations were lower than those established by the Program to conclude the contingency”, detailed the CAMe in a statement .
Why was the environmental contingency suspended?
The agency detailed that conditions improved during the afternoon of this Monday. The high pressure system lost intensity, which led to a reduction in atmospheric stability and a higher wind speed, along with the entry of humidity into the Valley of Mexico.
“The above, resulted in the maximum ozone value reached being 121 ppb, at 5:00 p.m., at the Villa de las Flores station, in the municipality of Coacalco de Berriozábal, State of Mexico.”
