Susana Villarán is one step away from facing oral trial for alleged coimas in case of Lima routes. The investigation involving the former mayor of Lima continues, so the Third Criminal Chamber of National Appeals of the Judiciary resolved ordered that the Prosecutor’s Office subsane the accusation against former official Domingo Arzubialde and with a company Walter Thompson Peruvian to establish the date of the trial.

Prosecutor’s Office seized properties valued at almost s/1 million linked to investigation against former mayor Susana Villarán
The Sixth Transitory Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Extinction of Domain of Lima, in collaboration with the Public Prosecutor’s Office specialized in said matter, carried out in November 2024 the seizure of an office and a double parking lot located in the Chacarilla del Pond urbanization, in the Lima district of Santiago de Surco. This action is part of the domain extinction process as part of an investigation that links former mayor Susana Villarán with Brazilian construction companies Oas and Odebrecht.
The confiscated properties were acquired by the construction company, consultant and general services generation SAC, belonging to César Simón Meiggs Rojas. It is presumed that these goods, whose value amounts to S/907,984, were used as vehicles to cover up the movement of capitals of illicit origin. Despite being registered in the name of Janet Marlene Alva Cornejo, it is suspected that they are related to illegal acts linked to crimes against public administration.
A patrimonial investigation determined that the funds used for the purchase of these properties would provide corruption acts, the result of an irregular agreement between Susana Villarán and the aforementioned Brazilian companies. This illegal pact would have had the purpose of financing the Villarán re -election campaign during the municipal and regional elections of 2014, when he served as mayor of Metropolitan Lima.
