Survey: 54 % of voters disapprove of Trump's management

According to the latest survey of the New York Times/University of Siena, 43 % of registered voters approve the management of President Donald Trump and 54 % net disapproves. This includes 29% that “firmly approves” and 46% that “disapproves firmly.”

The results are statistically similar to those of the previous Times/Siena survey, made in April, which revealed that 42 % of respondents approved the president (with 28 % who approved it “firmly”) and 54 % who disapproved (with 45 % that disapproved “firmly”).

The latest survey shows a rebound among independent voters, with 35 % approving in the last survey, compared to April 29 %; The disapproval among independent voters decreased to 61 % in the last survey, compared to 66 % of the previous one.

Meanwhile, approval among Democrats fell 2 percentage points from April to 4 % in the last survey; Among the Republicans, the approval rose 3 percentage points to 89 % in the same survey.

The percentage of voters who affirm that Trump’s policies have personally harmed themselves stable in 36 %.

However, some voters who said in April that Trump’s policies “have not had a great impact in any way” now claim that they have benefited them personally.

Today, 26 % say that their policies benefit personally, compared to 17 % in April; And 40 % say they have not noticed any difference, compared to 45 % in April.

The survey, conducted at 1 313 registered voters, was made from September 22 to 27, 2025. The margin of error is 3.2 percentage points.
