The Second Chamber of the Supreme Court confirmed the conviction against a teenager for the fire at the Pedrero station on Line 5 of the Santiago Metro, within the framework of the social outbreak.
According to information from Biobío, The seventh Oral Criminal Court of Santiago determined a sentence of 2 years of closed regime and 3 years of semi-closed regime against the sole culprit of the Pedrero station fire, after the second oral trial that was carried out in this case.
Daniel Morales and his nephew – whose initials are BESM and who was a teenager at the time of the events – were the accused and were acquitted in November of last year in the first oral trial.
However, in the second trial, the teenager was found guilty of the station fire, but his uncle was acquitted again.
