The inconveniences with the payment of wages have been reported not only by the workers of Supra Caracas, but also by workers and university professors who oppose the Onapre instructions.
Workers of the company dedicated to the collection of solid waste and attached to the mayor’s office of the Libertador municipality, Supra Caracas, protested this Saturday afternoon in the vicinity of the garbage dump, located in the Las Mayas area.
Protesters demanded respect for their payments and bonuses they receive for their services, while denouncing irregularities in compliance with their cancellation.
Days before they had also expressed their discomfort at rallies in the Plaza O’Leary in Caracas.
The political leader Jesús Armas denounced that the mayor of the Libertador Municipality, Carmen Meléndez, “makes fun of the workers of Supra Caracas, gives them a miserable payment, promises to improve it and does not comply. Really, the contempt that the PSUV feels for the workers has no limits”.
A city cannot prosper if the workers who are in charge of collecting solid waste are mistreated.

Councilman José Gregorio Cariba informed runrunes that the workers received only 40 bolivars of payment this week, when the usual thing is that they receive up to Bs. 700 weekly for a productivity bonus that governs the activity of these employees.
The allegation they give them is that the Patria System presented problems. However, they also denounce that the official proposal is to pay them only 40 bolívares a week and leave the production bonus until the end of the month, which they reject because they indicate that it is insufficient to pay for their personal and family expenses.
The workers of Supra Caracas stated that, by applying the wage tables recently approved by the government after the increase, they have suffered a significant reduction in their income, as has happened with other employees of the public administration.
And it is that through the instrumentation of salary tables, different bonuses and premiums that they received as part of their salaries and that had been established in collective contracts were eliminated or reduced.
This situation has been reported not only by the workers of Supra Caracas, but also by workers and university professors who oppose the Onapre instructions.
