A supplier of the Attorney General’s Office gave his former owner Jean Alain Rodriguez a cooking team for a value of 500 thousand pesos, according to the accusation of the Medusa case.
The accusatory brief states that the mega-stove was delivered by the merchant as “thanks” for the awarded contracts.
The Attorney General’s Office presented this month the accusation against the criminal network, headed by the former attorney and that charges 40 individuals and 22 companies.
For the prosecution body it is the most voluminous accusation with 12,274 pages and within those more than 3,500 pieces of evidence and among the pieces of evidence, more than 400 witnesses.
According to the prosecution body, it is a corruption network that exceeds 1,000 million pesos in bribes, something never seen in the Dominican Republic.

The accusation includes natural persons and companies against whom the Public Ministry accredits evidence because, as it has said on another occasion.
Those accused of Operation Medusa face criminal charges for coalition of officials, prevarication, association of criminals and fraud against the State. Also for bribery, for committing crimes and high-tech crimes, money laundering.
For the case, former prosecutor Jean Alain Rodríguez Sánchez is in prison. Also the former director of Information Technology and Communication of the Public Ministry, Javier Alejandro Forteza Ibarra; the former administrative director, Jonathan Joel Rodríguez Imbert, and Alfredo Alexander Solano Augusto, former administrative deputy director.
Jenny Marte Peña, former head of Projects, is under house arrest, as is former deputy administrative director Altagracia Guillén Calzado, as well as Rafael Antonio Mercedes Marte, former director of Accounting.
The process is also being carried out against former adviser Miguel José Moya, who was imposed an economic guarantee of one million pesos in the form of a contract with an insurance company, an exit impediment and periodic presentation.
