In statements to journalists, Ventura specified that the National Penitentiary Institute (Inpe) has already been contacted to take the statement of the former president, since, he said, he is accused of being the leader of that criminal organization.
“Coordinations have been made so that (the interrogation) is virtual,” added the Fuerza Popular legislator, after recalling that during his tenure, Castillo “put several problems trying to hinder and delegitimize the investigation.”

“Today, he has the obligation to testify or other pertinent legal actions could be taken,” he warned, adding that one of them would be to pass him from witness to the condition of being investigated. Likewise, he denounces him for contempt of authority.
”Today there is no excuse for trying to hinder the work of the commission. (Castillo) is duly notified, has received the official letter, there is his signature and fingerprint; he has the legal obligation to declare us, he is a citizen who must be accountable to the State for the alleged criminal acts that are being investigated, ”said Ventura.
At another time, the parliamentarian ruled on the refusal of the Mexican government to provide information on the whereabouts of Lilia Paredes, wife of Pedro Castillo, and who, he pointed out, is accused of being the “articulate arm” of the criminal organization managed by the former president. .
“It is unfortunate that the Mexican State, that the Mexican government is complicit in acts of corruption; (…) has been protecting it irregularly. The truth is that she has also been the subject of research, she is one of the articulating arms, ”she indicated.
